Elijah Hood opens season with 325 yards, 5 TDs

Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, N.C.) senior running back showed why he's a preseason MaxPreps All-American as he led his team to a 35-28 win over Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) with 325 yards rushing and five touchdowns. Hood ran for 3,309 yards and 47 touchdowns last year in leading the Cougars to a 13-2 record. He had committed to Notre Dame in late April, but recently decommitted citing a desire to play closer to his North Carolina home. (Max Preps)
