David Watford wins Virginia starting QB job
Posted Aug 12, 2013
David Watford has won the Virginia starting quarterback job and will make his first career start against BYU in the season opener, coach Mike London announced Monday. Watford had been the favorite to win the job after the Cavs lost both starters from a year ago -- Michael Rocco decided to transfer and Phillip Sims was dismissed from the program. Though Watford has not taken a snap in a game since 2011, he is the most experienced quarterback on the roster.
