Former UNC pitcher Bill Gallagher Passes Away

Former North Carolina pitcher Bill Gallagher died Thursday at the age of 52 after a bout with prostate cancer. A native of Peekskill, N.Y., Gallagher graduated from UNC in 1983 after playing portions of three years in Chapel Hill, including an All-ACC season as a freshman in 1979. (GoHeels.com)
