Brandon Riley picks North Carolina for baseball


Brandon Riley, a rising junior outfielder/infielder from Burlington Williams high school, committed Saturday to play baseball at North Carolina. With offers mounting, Riley said he was hoping for one from the Tar Heels. “That was kind of the one I was waiting on,” he said. “After they saw me play some tournaments and then again this weekend, they made the offer Friday night. I accepted it (Saturday) afternoon. That’s where I always kind of dreamed of playing.” (Burlington Times News)
