Twenty-six times from 1982 to 2009 UNC had played for a chance to advance to the Women's College Cup, and 26 times that game was played at Fetzer Field. But in 2012, for the first time in program history, the Tar Heels packed their bags and headed west to Provo, Utah, to face third-ranked and 20-1-2 BYU.
