Keeping it Simple: Yates impresses UNC coaches by not trying to do too much

Of all of North Carolina’s four quarterbacks, T.J. Yates best understood what Coach Butch Davis wants from the most important position on the team. Yates never tried to impress anyone with how far he could throw the ball or how fast it could leave his right hand. All he wanted to prove was that he was capable of running the offense and doing what was needed to score points and win games. (Winston-Salem Journal)
