Producing right away in pro debut: Moran homers in first at-bat

Thursday, July 18, 2013

Colin Moran wasted no time making the Miami Marlins look like they made a good investment. The former North Carolina third baseman smacked a solo home run in his first at-bat as a professional player, clubbing the ball out of NewBridge Bank Park on Wednesday night as a member of the Greensboro Grasshoppers. “It was good to get the nerves out,” Moran said.
