Dustin Ackley recalled by Mariners

The Mariners have placed Franklin Gutierrez on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained right hamstring, and have recalled Dustin Ackley. Ackley is on his way to Seattle from Cheney Stadium. Mariners manager Eric Wedge said Ackley could play some infield, in addition to the outfield. (Tacoma News Tribune)
