Going Down Swinging

Saturday, June 22, 2013

If North Carolina’s remarkable 2013 season had to come to an end short of the national championship, it was only fitting that the Tar Heels went down pushing the nation’s top closer to the limit. On Friday, UNC entered its final inning of season trailing 4-0 with David Berg, who is currently tied with a NCAA single-season record 23 saves, on the mound to close out UCLA’s 39th straight win.
