UCLA survives late push to reach championship series

UCLA rode another dominating pitching performance Friday night into College World Series championship series. Grant Watson, James Kaprielian, Zack Weiss and David Berg held North Carolina to seven hits in a 4-1 victory before 25,947 at TD Ameritrade Park. The Tar Heels didn't get a runner past second base until the ninth inning on Friday in finishing a 59-12 season. (Omaha World-Herald)
