NC State tops UNC 8-1 in College World Series opener

Carlos Rodon threw a five-hit complete game, and NC State scored five runs off UNC starter Kent Emanuel Sunday as the Wolfpack advanced in the winner’s bracket of the College World Series with a 8-1 win. Rodon added eight strikeouts in the performance UNC will play Tuesday at 3 p.m. in an elimination game against the loser of LSU/UCLA. (WRAL Sports Fan)
