Santiago's homer gives FAU an improbable win over North Carolina
Posted Jun 3, 2013
The FAU Owls waited seven innings to get a hit Sunday, but it was worth the wait. Ricky Santiago's three-run homer broke up UNC's combined no-hitter with one out in the seventh inning, lifting the Owls to an improbable 3-2 win over the top-seeded Tar Heels. FAU's win forced a winner-take-all championship game, to be played Monday night at 6 p.m.
