On and off the court, Harrison Barnes makes Iowa proud

Sunday, June 02, 2013

When asked if he knocked back his first legal drink while turning 21 Thursday in Ames, former North Carolina star Harrison Barnes looked as if someone had wondered if he wore a tutu smothered in Duke logos to the mall. “No,” he said. “I’ve never had a drink in my life.” On the night of the big birthday, Barnes ordered fish with family at Ames favorite Aunt Maude’s. Forget the Schlitz. Pass the salmon. (Des Moines Register)
