UNC commit Jessica Washington wins Powerade Jamfest Skills Competition
Posted Apr 2, 2013
North Carolina commit Jessica Washington of Jenks (Okla.) glided through the obstacle course in the finals of the skills competition, beating fellow finalists Jordan Reynolds, Taya Reimer and Linnae Harper. Her time of 30.7 seconds was even faster than the boys champion, Demetrius Jackson, who completed the course in 31.1 seconds. "I am only the fourth girl out of Oklahoma to ever attend the McDonald's game," said Washington, a 5-8 point guard. "So regardless of winning, it just feels really special to be here."
