The players sitting on the North Carolina bench had gone quiet. Elbows on their knees, their facial expressions pained. Fourteen minutes after leading by 20, No. 8-seeded UNC had fallen behind No. 9 Villanova in the second round of the NCAA Tournament’s South Regional. Then, the Tar Heels finally broke loose.
