Former UNC football signee Donavan Tate enduring baseball struggles

Donavan Tate was a highly rated quarterback prospect back in 2009 when he reported for football practice at North Carolina. But after one day of practice with the Tar Heels, Tate left school to pursue his other talent – baseball. Tate's career detours have included a shoulder injury resulting from an accident on an all-terrain vehicle that cost him part of the 2010 season, and a 50-game suspension in 2011 after he tested positive for synthetic cannabis.
