Hot start propels Tar Heels past Terps

North Carolina went from torrid to tepid in a matter of minutes on Saturday, but held on in a tough second half to defeat Maryland and climb to level ground in the ACC. The Tar Heels won 62-52 at the Smith Center by fighting through inconsistency in front of 20,865. Reggie Bullock helped UNC surge to a 42-20 lead at halftime.
