Barry Jacobs On Slow Starts In Chapel Hill

One North Carolina newspaper noted that, should UNC lose to Florida State, it would mark the team’s first 0-3 ACC start since 1997. The significance was far more striking than that: another loss would have marked the Heels’ second 0-3 ACC start in the league’s 60-year history. Of course that ’97 team, Dean Smith’s last, recovered well enough to advance to the Final Four. (Duke Basketball Report)
