North Carolina at Texas: Three to know

North Carolina lost at Indiana on Nov. 27. All three games since have been in Chapel Hill and each of the two games that follow tonight’s trip to Austin will be at the Smith Center too. That means the Tar Heels will have left town once in the 39 days preceding their ACC opener at Virginia on Jan. 6. Tonight’s game will be a meaningful road test for a Tar Heels team still searching for its identity.
