Jocelyn Jones, UNC's eighth-grade women's hoops commit
Posted Nov 30, 2012
It isn’t often eighth-graders know where they will play basketball in college. However, Cosby freshman Jocelyn Jones isn’t ordinary. Even though she had yet to step on the court for the Titans, she committed to spending four years wearing Tar Heel blue at North Carolina. “It was summer of seventh-grade year, going into eighth grade and I went to an UNC Elite camp,” she said. “(UNC) had already seen me play with my AAU team and they offered me during the camp at the end. I committed that fall of my eighth-grade year. So, it’s a done deal, just have to wait until I’m a junior (to officially sign).”
