UNC Women's Soccer Explodes On Offense In NCAA Second Round

The #14 North Carolina women's soccer team exploded for seven second-half goals Friday night as it defeated Illinois 9-2 in the NCAA Tournament second round before 1,003 fans at Fetzer Field. Seven different Tar Heel players scored goals and 10 different Tar Heels recorded assists in UNC's biggest offensive output since the 2002 season. With the victory UNC improved to 12-5-2 on the campaign.
