Tar Heels happy to have extra time

The timing of North Carolina’s bye week was both good and bad. It meant the Tar Heels had to play nine games without a break, but it also meant the defense got two weeks to prepare for Georgia Tech’s triple-option offense before Saturday’s game at Kenan Stadium (12:30 p.m.). “I typically don’t like an off week this late in the season,” UNC coach Larry Fedora said.
