Turnovers again sink Tar Heels

North Carolina lost its fourth straight game Saturday, this time 17-10 at No. 17 Virginia Tech. In what is becoming a familiar refrain, turnovers buried the Tar Heels (1-4). Mid-way through the third quarter, with UNC trailing 10-3, tailback Ryan Houston fumbled away Carolina's best scoring opportunity — on second-and-goal at the 5. Tech's Kam Chancellor recovered.
