The worst is almost finished for the Red Sox. For Daniel Bard, it has already passed. His flirtation as a starter ended almost four months ago in Toronto, a start even worse — 12/3 innings, five runs, six walks — than the furball coughed up by Zach Stewart — 22/3 innings, five runs — in yesterday’s 6-3 loss to the Orioles.
