UNC rally falls short in 39-34 loss to Louisville

After facing its largest halftime deficit in six years, North Carolina nearly pulled off a miraculous comeback victory here on Saturday against No. 19 Louisville. But the Tar Heels’ dreadful first half performance doomed them to a 39-34 defeat. UNC trailed 36-7 at halftime but had the ball on the Cardinals’ 4-yard line with about two minutes to play, down 39-34. (Raleigh News & Observer)
