Marion Jones a brilliant runner who had feet of clay

Even in a society now accustomed to fallen idols in sports, it is hard to hear that Marion Jones is among them. In part because of the men in her life and the company she kept, anyone following the steroid scandals of the last decade or so had to know that she would fall, too. But her admission that she used performance-enhancing drugs in preparing for the Olympics seemed especially sad. (Concord Monitor)
