Spurrier fond of the battle of Carolinas

It's taken 16 years for North Carolina and South Carolina to meet again - far too long in Steve Spurrier's opinion. The Gamecocks' coach wants the two border schools to face off annually. "I just believe we should play them every year. That's what I suggested when I took the job, that we play in Charlotte every year," Spurrier said Tuesday. "Sort of like Oklahoma-Texas in Dallas and Florida-Georgia in Jacksonville.
