Welcome to the big leagues. New York Mets rookie Matt Harvey just set a new club record with 11 strikeouts in his major league debut against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Move over Bill Denehy, Tom Seaver, who each had nine for the Mets. The pitcher Harvey replaced in the Mets' rotation? Miguel Batista, who had eight strikeouts in the last 60 hitters he faced.
