For Matt Harvey, his first big league start represents end of a journey - and beginning of another

The routine became sacrosanct, a daily ritual enacted by father and son. Ed Harvey arrived home at night, weary from coaching baseball and football at a Connecticut high school. His youngest child, a boy in his early teens named Matt, would be waiting, ready to drag his father into the backyard and test his own burgeoning arm.
