UNC, Gamecocks renew their rivalry after big victories

The renewal of an old rivalry and other intriguing non-conference matchups highlight the ACC games this week. The seventh-ranked Gamecocks haven’t played the Tar Heels since 1991, and coach Steve Spurrier hasn’t played a game in Kenan Stadium since he drubbed UNC 41-0 in 1989 as head coach at Duke and then posed with his players for a picture of the scoreboard.
