Carolina Heelraiser John Snipes remembered

John Lloyd Snipes, who created and drove the Carolina blue Heelraiser hearse, died last week in Hillsborough. Snipes, 52, was suffering from multiple sclerosis at the time of his death on June 5. A memorial service is set for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hillsborough Presbyterian Church at 102 W. Tryon St., in Hillsborough.
