UNC Golfer Katherine Perry Qualifies for U.S. Women's Open

Katherine Perry, a rising junior on the UNC women's golf team, qualified for the 2012 U.S. Women's Open on Thursday. Perry qualified at Carolina Country Club in Sanford, N.C. Perry and Cheyenne Woods tied for first place at that sectional qualifier. Both players will now play in the U.S. Women's Open July 5-8 at Blackwolf Run Championship Course in Kohler, Wis.
