UNC pitching springs a leak

UNC’s pitching staff entered NCAA Tournament play looking like a juggernaut. The Tar Heels possessed statistics that ranked among the best in the nation, making them stingy in allowing earned runs and hits while being healthy on piling up strikeouts. On Sunday, the pitching showed vulnerability that helped bring an early end to the Tar Heel baseball season.
