Tar Heels spoil Pack’s shot at ACC baseball title

Saturday, May 26, 2012

UNC’s first-team All-ACC closer Michael Morin showed he might make a good starter, as well. Morin, who leads the conference with 17 saves in 18 chances, retired the final 14 batters as UNC concluded its ACC tournament with a 4-0 win over N.C. State in 12 innings. Morin gave up just one hit and struck out five in five innings, his longest outing since going seven in a 14-inning loss to Miami last month. (Durham Herald-Sun)
