Marcus Paige has stress fracture in foot

More bad news on the injury front for the UNC basketball team: Star point guard recruit Marcus Paige has been diagnosed with a stress fracture of his left foot. A stress fracture is a hairline crack in a weight-bearing bone, caused by “unusual or repeated stress,” rather than a severe impact. Treatment requires rest and immobilization with a cast walking boot for a period of 4-8 weeks – although it can sometimes take as long as 12-16 weeks for complete healing to occur.
