This season’s Tar Heels looked as if they might deliver on their promise, cruising into the Sweet 16. But when point guard Kendall Marshall broke his wrist, their fortunes took a dramatic downturn. North Carolina needed overtime to get past Ohio on Friday night and – despite a valiant effort – came apart in the final minutes in an 80-67 loss to Kansas.
