Tar Heels head to Greensboro Friday with No. 1 NCAA seed

The last two times UNC won the NCAA Tournament — 2005 and 2009 — it didn’t win the ACC title. For the Tar Heels to follow the same pattern this year, it might have to beat some familiar faces. Hours after losing to Florida State 85-82 in the ACC final Sunday, the Tar Heels received the top seed in the Midwest Region along with No. 2 Kansas, the team Roy Williams led for 15 years before coming to Chapel Hill.
