Marcus Paige-led Lions on an historic run
Posted Mar 3, 2012
Without all the drama of its substate final, Linn-Mar still held the state’s longest consecutive tournament appearance streak at eight. Thanks to Marcus Paige’s 49-point outburst in the Lions’ double-overtime win against Cedar Rapids Kennedy, the streak is stretched to nine. Each year since 2004, Linn-Mar has qualified, won a quarterfinal and has three state championships in that time. Coach Chris Robertson has been at the helm since the 2006 tournament.
