PF Karl Towns may be country's top freshman
Posted Feb 24, 2012
Karl Towns Jr. may be the most impressive basketball recruit from the state of New Jersey in at least a decade. I saw the likes of fellow phenoms Derrick Caracter, Corey Stokes, Michael Gilchrist and Kyle Anderson as freshmen, and Towns is having a much bigger impact than any one of them. The 6-foot-10 freshman is averaging a double-double for St. Joseph (Metuchen, N.J.), which will be the state title favorite in New Jersey's non-public A playoff bracket.
