Heels left with no bowl


For the previous two seasons, North Carolina defensive lineman Hilee Taylor had been disappointed when his team didn't qualify for a bowl. But when UNC failed to convert a go-ahead score from the 7-yard line as time wound down Saturday -- securing a 31-27 loss to N.C. State, a third straight losing season and no postseason bid -- he sounded downright devastated. (Raleigh News & Observer)
