QB Patton Robinette switches to Vanderbilt

In an unexpected change of plans, Maryville High School senior quarterback Patton Robinette backed off his late-Saturday decision to mid-term enroll at the University of North Carolina and opted Sunday to enroll at Vanderbilt. The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Robinette, the 2011 Gatorade State Player of the Year, said by phone Sunday that he was going through orientation at North Carolina and it just didn't "feel right for me." "It's a great school," Robinette said of UNC. "But my heart's been set on Nashville for a while now." (Knoxville News Sentinel)
