Nikki Washington Named Progress Energy Performer Of The Week

Forward Nikki Washington earned MVP honors in leading UNC to the ACC Women's Soccer championship and is the Progress Energy Tar Heel of the Week for Nov. 5-11, 2007. Washington led the Tar Heels to their 18th ACC title in the last 19 years, beating Florida State 1-0 in the finals. Washington, a native of Mesquite, Texas, scored the game-winning goals against Clemson in the quarterfinals and Florida State in the finals.
