For carrier crew, sports often a link to home

Tomorrow's game between North Carolina and Michigan State aboard the USS Carl Vinson is a celebration of those who serve in the military on Veterans Day, but it's no coincidence that sports is the vehicle. When the aircraft carrier leaves port for one of its six-month deployments, sports is often the spiritual bridge between the ship and the mainland.
