Even if he had a run-of-the-mill performance in his return to Philadelphia, Wayne Ellington very much was the center of attention in the gym where he once hit a dramatic game-winning shot during his high school career. Saving the hometown kid for last, Ellington was the final UNC player to be announced during the starting lineups. When his name was called out, most of the 8,722 fans in attendance gave him a rousing ovation.
