David MacDonald Becomes First UNC Diver In History To Qualify For Olympic Trials

David MacDonald became the first diver in UNC athletic history to qualify for the United States Diving Olympic Trials when he finished 12th in the three-meter springboard event at the 2011 AT&T U.S. Diving Championships at UCLA's Speiker Aquatics Center. A native of Darien, Conn., MacDonald is coach by UNC diving coach Kevin Lawrence and also trains for the North Carolina Aquatic Club diving program. (Tar Heel Blue)
