Marvin Austin Shaking Off A Year in Limbo

Marvin Austin has heard the critics. He knows N.F.L. teams bypassed him in first round of the draft over concerns about his character. Now, as he competes for a job with the Giants, he is at a place he long envisioned, ready to show he belongs in the N.F.L. “I think I was one of the better players in the draft, but that’s over with and I’m glad to be a Giant,” Austin, a second-round pick, said.
