Robert Woodard pleased to be joined by Kent Emanuel in elite CWS group

Wednesday, June 22, 2011

Kent Emanuel was the first player since Robert Woodard to throw a complete game shutout in the CWS and the pair make up just two of the four players to have done it in the past 20 years. "It was just really neat," said Woodard, who is in his first season as an assistant coach at UNC. "Just sort of sit back and see a kid and compete and perform like that. It doesn't happen so often, especially on this stage." (Durham Herald-Sun)
