Patrick Johnson sharp yet again in UNC's win over Stanford

UNC pitcher Patrick Johnson was charged with his first run in 30 2/3 innings Friday, but the senior shrugged off the end to his scoreless inning streak. All that mattered to the right-hander was the Tar Heels got the win. UNC, the No. 3 seed in the nation, beat Stanford 5-2 at Boshamer Stadium and is one win away from advancing to the program’s fifth College World Series in the past six years. (Durham Herald-Sun)
