North Carolina coach Roy Williams and Kansas coach Bill Self haven’t met in a competitive environment since April 2008. That encounter came in San Antonio, at the Final Four, with Self’s Jayhawks pounding Williams’ Tar Heels 84-66 in a game with so many fascinating subplots attached. That was Williams’ first game coaching against the school he led for 15 years.
