Bruce Carter's a Cowboy

Bruce Carter is heading to “America’s Team.” The Havelock native was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft on Friday evening. Carter, a 6-foot-2, 241-pound linebacker from the University of North Carolina, was the 40th overall pick. Carter, the son of Bruce and Tammy Prichard, spent the moments leading up to the phone call in Havelock with family and friends.
